Job Title: Senior Data Manager
Location: Dar es Salaam
Reporting To: Senior Health Informatics Officer
At Pact Tanzania, Senior Data Manager Serves as an active member of the team for the implementation of Pact’s USAID Kizazi Kipya project with the primary responsibility for supporting monitoring and evaluation functions across all geographic regions of the program.

At Pact Tanzania, Senior Data Manager must develop a close working relationship with the Cluster-based Data Officers. The Manager will be responsible for;
Oversee the data entry and data management in the project’s data management systems
Supervise Data Managers to correctly enter and conduct quality checks on data in all data systems
Be familiar with the functioning of every data system, reporting glitches to Senior Health Informatics officer immediately
Ensure that the proper reports are being generated by the data management systems and provided to the Deputy Chief of Party on time for monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports
Provide ongoing support and mentorship to cluster staff on how to manage data
Oversee TrainSmart database and support all programs in producing reports
Oversee other databases and provide necessary support to programs
Other tasks as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, information technology or health and social sciences e.g. sociology, demography, public health, development management related field is required
Academic qualification in monitoring and evaluation will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years professional experience working in data management for Monitoring, Evaluation and reporting, preferably working with donor funded programs

At least 2 years experience in data collection, processing, and analysis
Previous experience managing staff
Experience with PEPFAR 3.0 funded projects in Tanzania is a plus
The candidate should have experience in training/workshop facilitation, mentoring and proven ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with government and other NGO counterparts.
Ability to lead and work effectively with multiple teams, partner agencies and community members.

Knowledge of different database software
Skills in generating pivot tables in Excel
Availability and willingness to travel up to 50% time
