JOB TITLE: Branch Manager – Morogoro


Type: Full Time

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare the branch budget and strategy and ensure profitability
  • Establish and develop sales opportunities to archive targets and meet customers’ expectations
  • Organizing the branch objectives in liaison with the retail officers in regard to annual objectives and sales campaigns
  • Ensure Branch coordination; weekly and monthly meetings with retail officers, Branch meetings and training of branch staff
  • Implement, monitor and analyse the achievements of the branch objectives.
  • Build and improve the quality of business and retail clients
  • Make regular customer visits to retain existing customers and to build loyalty
  • Promote new business by selling banks products to new clients
  • Prepare and analyze credit applications for presentation to the credit department.
  • Review all branch reports and oversee daily operations of all areas of the branch
  • Check and forward daily and weekly reports to Head office departments
  • Manage and monitor team workflow at the branch in line with set targets
  • Ensure service delivery standards are maintained in the branch
  • Ensure branch staff comply with statutory regulations and bank internal procedure
  • Be involved in corporate social responsibility to improve the visibility of the bank
  • Monitoring the overstepping reports and advising accordingly
  • Monitoring of commercial risk and debt collection
  • Manage the term deposit
  • Provide customer balances
  • Advise walk-in clients on the various accounts and facilities
  • Monitors and analyses with the Sales Coordination Unit the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the branch
  • Implements business plans prepared in collaboration with the sales coordination structure to ensure achievement of objectives
  • Ensures the development of branch profitability
  • Any duty as may be assigned by a supervisor and or Head of Retail 

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent  

Experience Requirements 
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role

JOB TITLE: Retail Assistant Manager

Roles and Responsibilities 
Sales

  • Formulate and execute Open Channel Accounts sales strategies to grow pipeline and boost sales e.g. channel to end customers through in-store branding/promotions, merchandising, POSM, incentive programs, Roadshows etc.
  • Assist Open Channel Account managers in developing and executing joint business plans to increase sell-out market share and sales (Volume and Value)
  • Manage and ensure service delivery through effective performance management (market share and sales targets), motivation and retention of Open Channel Accounts, Experience Stores (ES) and mobile sales in Brand Shops (BS)
  • Responsible for driving volume of hero/ strategic models product 

Branding

  • Responsible for the ‘look and feel’ of the portfolio in Open Channel Account shops as per Company guidelines on branding, furniture, merchandising, the point of sale material (POSM) 

Training and Performance management

  • Ensure continuous transfer of skills and product knowledge to Open Channel Accounts and Field Force (FSS & SRR) staff in liaison with Account Managers and Training teams
  • Responsible for managing agency teams and defining their KPI’s, weekly meetings, routine tasks, training, motivation, retention, performance management etc 

Reporting

  • Provide market intelligence reports with regards to trends as well as benchmarking
  • Recommend process and systems improvement to enhance quality and efficiency within the business
  • Provide input for Channel Management budget spend, savings and forecasts
  • Ensure responsible system utilization by self and Field Force teams
  • Prepare periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.) management and ad hoc reports 

 Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration/ Sales/ Marketing/ Social Science from a reputable Institution
  • Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Financial management knowledge – at least the fundamental level 

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in FMCG/ Mobile Network Operator/ Channel environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in channel management as a supervisor/manager
  • Proven experience in developing sales promotions and initiatives
  • Knowledge/experience on working brand(s) and launching a new product(s) will be an added advantage
  • Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic business environment, where priorities change
  • Must be organized, able to prioritize tasks and take initiative at work
  • Must be able to plan, organize and prioritize multiple assignments and projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
