As the Education in Emergencies (EiE) Specialist you will be accountable for capacitating EiE staff with relevant knowledge on Education in Emergencies, ECCD and more specifically on Teachers In Crisis Context (TICC) to Secondary Refugees Teachers in Nduta and Mtendeli Camps.

You will be responsible for assessing teacher’s need, including; contextualising the (TICC) materials, establishing a suitable time frame and sequencing of the modules and sessions. You will ensure that teachers have ongoing support and opportunities to practice what they learn in the training to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of the program management, delivery and accomplishment of project goals and objectives.

Do you have what it takes?

In order to succeed in this important role you are will need demonstrable skills, experience, and knowledge of Teachers’ training (TICC) package in Emergencies, with particular attention to gender responsive learning and capacity building.

Professional humanitarian experience implementing education activities in primary, secondary school and managing implementation of ECCD in the refugee contexts.

Broad knowledge and understanding of the Humanitarian Programme Cycle, including experience with Humanitarian Response Planning and/or Humanitarian Needs

Previous experience in managing projects, including project design, monitoring and evaluation (i.e. preparation of documents and reports for external dissemination).

Experience of and demonstrated ability to effectively network with a diverse range of organizations and relevant government departments at the district level

Type of Role: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Location: Kibondo, Tanzania

Salary: Circa $50,000.00 USD per annum plus benefits

Reports to: Emergency Response Manager
