Tanzania Leaf Tobacco Company Limited (TLTC) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Data Processing Supervisor in the Agronomy Department.
Job Purpose

To update and maintain on a timely manner accurate electronic databases of all business and technical agronomy information in order to support efficient operations in a division/ region. The incumbent will also hold responsibility for maintenance of all IT assets and accessories as well as administration of controls for regional servers and the company computer system.
Job dimension
The incumbent will hold responsibility for all agronomy data management in the division, including data for crop production, forestry, Agricultural Labor Practice [ALP], markets and accounts. He/ She will be based at the Division office, with working visits to market centers during the tobacco buying season. He/ She will mostly work with minimum supervision except in the buying season where he/ she may supervise a team of up to 5 seasonal computer operate
Roles and responsibilities
  • To manage electronic capture/ entry of agronomy busii technical data
  • To prepare and submit monthly crop report dat. to HQ in liaison with the Regional Operatioj
  • To reconcile data for tobacco purc^ses
  • To maintain tobacco warehouse^ Geaera? Mi
  • To ensure accurate data entr% attir^fedii tobacco sales and othe^crop cj(cle;
    • To transmit shipment/s data froiW^^head to the factory.
    • To prepare and sign off of all sales documentation for approval To prepare all tobacco market documentation (PCN & B/ TICKETS)
    • To upload and download systems files on shipping. Purchases &TCN.
    • To allocate work and supervise seasonal computer operators and data entry clerks
    • To supervise filing and storage of all tobacco sales records for farmers and primary society tobacco in the system.
    • To supervise proper record keeping of all electronic data in regards to every tobacco sale per PS. inclusive of documentation referencing closure of sales and transportation summary forms. To administer control and supervise maintenance of all IT assets in the Division

    The incumbent will have dual functional reporting to the Assistant Data Processing Manager and Head of Agronomy Data. He/ She will have administrative reporting to the Regional Operations Manager.
    Qualification and experience
    Diploma in Business / Administration / IT and or Data Management
    At least 4 years’ exw&ence in similar position/environment
