Purpose of the position:
Lead the development and implementation of the strategy WVT existences, which directly addresses all aspects of the well-being of children addressed by the underlying factors of child poverty, food and nutrition insecurity and vulnerability to climate change. These include providing leadership assistance to households and communities focused on designing and developing skills to end the poorest households of children in extreme poverty, by developing productive and robust livelihoods to help them feed, take care of and educate their children. Children from childhood to productive adulthood. Effective integration with positive complementary family-gender relationships, empowerment of women and measures to promote exclusion from extreme poverty are key elements of this position.
1. The program execution: main process of creation and integration of livelihood strategies in ADP and design of funded projects and in the general process of planning and execution that NO:
Supporting the development of sustainable livelihoods and the development of value chains
Support the creation of livelihoods based on global best practices, including CSA, the transformation of subsistence farming, etc., and ensure that the lessons learned are incorporated into the regular programming of WVT
Promote operational research on the implications of livelihood monitoring, ready-to-publish reports and systematic documentation
Promotion and establishment of improved agricultural productivity through sustainable, climate-friendly agriculture
Promoting disaster management approaches such as community-based disaster risk reduction (CBDRM)
Promotion and establishment of rural entrepreneurship markets through development of local value chains (LVCD) and trade facilitation (BF)
Promote and establish financial inclusion through savings groups (SG) and sustainable and affordable microfinance services.
Promoting approaches to the management of natural resources, such as: B. Farmer-Led Natural Regeneration (FMNR).
2. Networks and Representation
Support the development of internal networks and effective links with other relevant departments / organizations in the NO, OR that contribute to resilience and livelihood
Representing World Vision with external stakeholders from UN agencies, international NGO forums, government councils and regional organizations responsible for DRR

3. Granting of acquisition and administration:
Technical advice in close cooperation with the Program Development Manager, in developing competitive proposals for livelihoods interventions on food security, nutrition, adaptation to climate change, environment, economic development)
Support and lead the implementation of resilience and livelihood projects
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Minimum Qualification required: Masters Degree in Agriculture, Agri-business, Community Economic Development, Agricultural Economics, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management (NRM).
Experience: 5 years and above in Management level
Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills
- Demonstrated ability in supervision
- Experience in managing donor funds
- Working knowledge on financial management is an added advantage.
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff-related to work environment needs
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and public
- Consortium/ Partnership building and management skills
Working Environment / Conditions:
Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field
Travel: 20-25% Domestic/international travel is required.
On call: 10%
